Meet Our Officiants
Rev. Darren Ho
First and foremost, Darren’s passion is to connect, honor and serve others. This is his core motivator for celebrating and officiating weddings with Aloha.
He has been a minister for the past two decades. In addition to becoming an officiant, he earned a Masters in English Literature at Chaminade University.
Darren’s background gives him an impassioned perspective on the significance of vows, tradition and ceremony. In addition to officiating weddings, he enjoys delivering sermons and teaching.
In his free time, he surfs, serves at his church and spends time with his family of six. Based in Hawaii, Darren can navigate your ceremony with ease, eloquence and confidence.
Rev. Max Fowler
Max, who was born and raised in Hawaii, has been pastoring and officiating weddings since 2005. He serves as the founder of a missions focused church, Salt + Light, committed to reaching the diverse communities of the Waikiki area.
He holds a Masters in theology from Hawaii Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Theology from Cambridge University in England. Max loves the process of meeting new people and connecting with them. His heart to honor and celebrate the union of marriage is evident in the wedding ceremonies he officiates.
Max has been married to his wife for over 20 years, is a father to three children and spoils one labradoodle.
Rev. Partner Akiona
Partner, hailing from the island of Oahu, has spent over a decade working with adolescent youth and rebuilding families and communities. As a Native Hawaiian, he understands the importance of marriage in the context of community. His passion for local culture also shows through the use of Hawaiian language in his ceremonies.
In his free time Partner enjoys coaching his son’s flag football team, spending quality time with his wife and five keiki (children), attending church meetings, and squeezing in an occasional round of golf. Partner realizes the first fruit a marriage union provides and looks forward to providing a truly authentic experience for future newlyweds to cherish.
